Doug Hamilton has come a long way in a very short time with over 50 music awards and hits in over 20 countries. He credits his success to the fact he writes, performs, helps produce and sings his own songs.

Several of his singles have charted in the top 100 in Europe and the United States. When “Cowboy Boogie” hit #1 in Australia and others charting #1 in Belgium and England, Doug was invited to perform on the famous B, B, King Stage at Fan Fair in Nashville, along with Randy Travis and Doug Stone. He credits his Producer/Engineer Albert MacDonald for helping him to create a legacy of great compositions. Lately Doug has begun co-writing because as he says, “Sometimes I just run out of words”.

He remembers clearly how nervous he was the first time he was asked to perform at his public school, at the age of 12, in front of 2000 spectators at a Canada Day Celebration. “We only knew 3 songs” he said. Hearing Rodney Crowel, singer/songwriter Doug realized country music was his passion. Two years later, in 1990 he performed at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee and in 1991 Doug was asked to perform at Opryland Hotel, Nashville. In 1998 “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore” hit the top 100 US Charts. In 2007 “Riding in the Rain” charting at #40 on the US Charts.

Doug is a multi-talented, Independent Country Music Artist who has written over 35 songs. When one of his promoters asked him to write a Christmas song 3 weeks before Christmas, he produced it in less than an hour. Within one week, that song “It’s That Time of the Year” charted #67 on the top 100 Christmas singles for the year 2002.

Doug will be performing in Las Vegas sometime this year. Plans are in the works for 2 videos in the near future. His performance at Harrah’s in December 2006 is an experience he says he will never forget.

On the United States Major Coutnry Music Charts, Doug charted #27 with "The Way Love Goes" as of June 2008. He has released his latest song "Now and Forever", which is presently charting at #40 after only 5 weeks, competing with 16,000 other artists.

He feels privileged to be working with top-notch promoters, Bill Wence Promotions and Western Heart Promotions Gary Bradshaw. Doug says “they have played a major roll in my music career”.

Country Artists like Kenny Loggins, Pete Anderson, Sony/BMG (California) and Toby Keith have had a big influenced in Doug’s musical development.

Doug wishes to thank his fans all over the world, for their loyal support over the years. “Without them, I would not be in the top 100 country music charts around the world”
